Creative commons is a project that offers and promotes a range of protection and freedoms for authors and artists the world over. The project began as an attempt to find an alternative to strictly enforced copyright rules. Creative commons uses private rights to create public goods and sets creative works free for non commercial usage. With the enforcement of international copyright laws in the Balkan region, it has become all the more urgent to empower alternative solutions to create free and open content production. The translation and localisation of Creative Commons into Slovenian was presented alongside the promotion of Felix Stadler's book 'Open Cultures & the Nature of Networks' at Ljudmila in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
