Vidéoavril is an event dedicated to the screening of video productions by both emerging and established Lebanese artists. Organised by Beirut based Ashkal Alwan, Lebanese Association for the Plastic Arts, the event will take place over 4 days from April 12 to 15 at the al Madina Theatre in central Beirut. Vidéoavril will include 3 distinct video projects: Video Works, Time Lapse and Summertime. The project Video Works - supported through ALMOSTREAL- will be shown during the days of the festival. Video Works is the result of an extended video production workshop between selected emerging artists whose videos vie for an aesthetic language in the complex cultural fabric of Lebanon. The participants are Ahmad Ghosien, Ali Cherri, Ali Kays, Anthony Abu Khalifeh, Corine Shawi, Malek Anouti, Rania Rafei, Rami Sabbagh, Rima Kaddissi, Roy Samaha, and Ziad Saad. The workshop was coordinated by Lebanese filmmaker and video artist Ghassan Salhab.
