The fifth ALMOSTREAL getogether will take place in Ljubliana 6th, 7th, and 8th of May 2007 at the City Museum of Ljubljana. The fifth getogether will take place on the 7th and the 8th in theity museum Ljubljana. Monday the 7th will be dedicated to presentations and talks of different works and working situations of the 4 AR stages in motion so far: this day will be an occassion for participants from Balkan, Beirut, Lisbon, and Amsterdam to (informally) present concepts, instances of activities, difficulties and values occurring in processes that have been unfolding since ALMOSTREAL began. The 8th will be a presentation of the ALMOSTWeb platform followed by a discussion on the website as a tool which informs and investigates different artistic collaborations supported by ALMOSTREAL. The discussion will unfold around the website and ALMOSTREAL as a model which challenges, questions and makes visible the matters of concern in the relations between arts, culture, funding in throughout different European context today. As a prelude to the getogether, a screening of video works at the Bunker arts space of six selected video works made by young Beirut artists will be shown on the 6th of May. These videos were realised through a video production workshop initiated by Ashkal Alwan and was supported through ALMOSTREAL stage 2.
