From 12 November till 2 December 2007, Alkantara and ALMOSTREAL co-develop the project “it will be what we make it | será o que fizermos” in Lisbon, Portugal. The workshop will involve the participation of 11 artists, theoreticians and programmers of different geographic, cultural and disciplinary backgrounds to come together and create a temporary platform for researching new possibilities of performance production and presentational formats. The workshop does not impose a 'programme', instead each participant is encouraged to actively experiment, share and learn about other methodologies and open new possibilities of working and presenting work. 11 participants working together for 20 days will look at ways of enabling new practices of production in an extended shared space and time. It's about collectively creating the conditions that would make a far-reaching exchange of meanings, perceptions, techniques and unexpected side-effects possible.
