Lebanese-English language newspaper the Daily Star published a review of a selection of videos shown during the Video Avril festival 11-15 April 2007 in Beirut. The article focuses on the use of video by Lebanese artists to subvert the prevailing narratives of war in their "struggle for an aesthetic language to express this war". Ali Cherri and Ranina Rafei mentioned in the article made their works as part of Video Works, supported by ALMOSTREAL.
