Ashkal Alwan Lebanese Association for the Plastic Arts is a non-profit arts organisation based in Beirut, Lebanon. Ashkal Alwan promotes critical artistic production both within Lebanon and the region and internationally. Since 2005 Ashkal Alwan is developing an archival record of contemporary intellectual and creative activity of the region. Ashkal Alwan focuses on projects from exhibitions, videos, lectures, performances and publications, to work in public spaces and creating and extending cultural and artistic networks.
