Partnership is when the funder and funded have equal input in defining the content of the supported work and the distribution of the resources. In principle, partnership aims to level the power relations at stake in any form of institutional funding. Although the financial distrubution comes from the one with the money, a partnership based on growing mutual trust and understanding is the most advanced type of support. Moreover, this kind of partnership can lead to the gradual equalisation of roles and mutual engagement and input into decision-making of both partners.
