The first day of the meeting was devoted to mixing and meeting of people from the first and fourth stages of ALMOSTREAL. There was a flow of frank yet constructive critical exchange which differs from the tendency (as in previous gatherings) to become stuck in a loop of negative feedback. The second day centred around how to build ALMOSTweb and use it as a communication mechanism that influences ALMOSTREAL to become a more tailored in how it supports practitioners and their non-institutional structures (collectives, associations, festivals, etc.). ALMOSTREAL must maximise its unique hybrid potential between cultural producers, adminstrators and policy makers if it is to have any impact at all on the future of European cultural policies.
Disappointingly however, it was impossible to bring together all the people involved in the project, so this getogether was shaped by the perspectives of the artists involved in a first (Belgrade, Novi Sad, Sarajevo and Zagreb) and fourth (Amsterdam) stages without the other angles coming from the second (Beirut) and the third stage (Lisbon).
On this page you can see a particular case (an assumption, condition, decisions, etc.) that has influenced the course of the ALMOSTREAL project.
