The motivations for funding art vary, as do the expectations on what art can deliver. So the question becomes: what do funders want to promote today? What do they want to prevent?

The 5th and final stage of the experimental project AlmostReal will be a project that reflects on the four previous stages. This last stage is initiated by Stealth and curated by Maria Lind who have invited the artist collaboration Goldin+Senneby (Stockholm) to develop a performative journey throughout the cities throughout Europe where the previous stages of AlmostReal have taken place. The end of this journey will coincide with a public event co-curated by curator Anna Livion, (Konsthall C, Stockholm). This event, taking place in late 2009 will conclude stage 5 and AlmostReal.
