A workshop was held 30 September, 1-2 October 2006 in Rotterdam to further develop ALMOStweb, ALMOSTREAL's online archive-in-progress. To develop a more clear conceptual structure and to organise information of ALMOSTREAL into an inspiring structural framework.
The function of ALMOSTweb is to both facilitate and open up a complex and experimental project. Yet like ALMOSTREAL, is not an easy one. Vital to its success will be the ability to broadcast the essential elements of ALMOSTREAL to a broader audience, while at the same time being able to make available online an in-depth reflection on the project and as a platform for communication between participants, editors, advisors and the ECF.
This workshop was held following the test phase of ALMOSTweb (see 'ALMOSTweb testing phase’) which tested how the online archive of ALMOSTREAL can be accessed and used by both ECF and its direct participants.
The workshop concluded that 4 levels of access - from easy entry up to specialised reflections - will need to designed to open up the ALMOSTREAL project. These different entry points both show the project results, as well as the process of experimentation that has been leading to these results. In this way, experiences from ALMOSTREAL can enrich and inspire those who can benefit from insight into collaborative practices in different cultural environments.
