Members of this association are arts centres and artist's organisations that encourage the development of contemporary art and artists through residential artist exchange programs and face-to-face meetings.

Res Artis also maintains a website web page that serves as a portal of information for artists seeking international contacts through residency programs and it operates a mentoring program that enables new member organisations to become involved in the critical issue of globalisation and inclusion central to the mission of Res Artis.

AlmostReal will be presented at the 11th Res Artis conference as a case study of support for the arts that tests assumptions and brings to light issues at stake between artists moving and working collaboratively across geographies.
