ALMOSTREAL unfolds along five stages. Stages of ALMOSTREAL are overlapping and not necessarily following each other in a linear way. You can find information about each of the stages, their topics and the activities within each of them.

1.7.2005 till 1.12.2007
AR1 deals with less perceptible notions of confrontation in time, between past, present and future ideals rather than territorial conflict in the former Yugoslavia. The stage unfolds through a series of interdisciplinary and intercultural artistic collaborations between four independent media and art organisations in the Western Balkan.

1.4.2006 till 1.6.2008
AR2 is supporting and developing a series of workshops and public presenations for the production of video and new media installation works by young Lebanese artists.

10.6.2006 till 1.1.2008
AR3 is supporting the culture of reflection as an integral element in artistic collaborations. This stage is facilitating workshops and occassions for artists from widely different cultural and disciplinary backgrounds to consciously reflect on the impact of artistic collaboartions on their individual practicies, especially when it comes down to sharing historical, geographical, cultural and methodological differences.

5.12.2006 till 7.4.2008
AR4 is a sequence of artistic acts of hospitality co-instigated by the Blue House and ALMOSTREAL. These activities seek to unbuckle divisions between public and private, creating fleeting or enduring moments of interchange between guest and host.

AR5 unfolds as an artistic expedition and public event that explores the cultural funding climate of Europe today.
